Summer is definitely a time for lovin’ as weddings, engagements and baby showers seem to be plenty on the social calendar, and it’s a beautiful thing! The question for many, when attending these types of events is what to wear. Rule number one is to never outshine the hostess, whether it be the bride, or the mother-to-be, but to showcase your personal style and maintain a level of sophistication and fun.

Recently we attended ABC’s Red Widow star Jaime Ray Newman and husband, director Guy Nattiv’s baby shower. Jamie Ray wore a beautiful blue maxi dress that barely showed her baby bump, she looked effortlessly beautiful to say the least. I opted for a lacey white number, and guests including Jamie King and Lindsay Price wore cute and colorful printed maxi dresses.

Publicist Renee Simlak, the brains behind Jaime & Guy’s special day, was excited to give them their ultimate dream baby shower that to kick off the event, Renee presented Jaime with a customized present from “The Mommy Pendant” to mark this momentous occasion. Jaime is just another lucky celebrity to adorn this very unique and sentimental pendant that celebrates motherhood. Renee herself wore a cute blue sundress.

The soiree was a relaxed affair in West Hollywood on the rooftop overlooking beautiful Los Angeles. Guests enjoyed an eclectic menu of gourmet Mexican Cuisine catered by Skys Gourmet Tacos, which made perfect for a hot summer afternoon as everyone enjoyed strawberry pink “DAMA MAMA” Margaritas sponsored by DAMA Tequila, the first female luxury tequila created by Women for Women.” As you all know, the TGIFguide team loves their DAMA!

The dessert table was filled with cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery, with tiers of baby themed vanilla and chocolate buttercream frosted cupcakes while Sprinkles Cupcakes was also on had with special ordered tiers of baby MINI cupcakes…both with red velvet, as that is the expectant mommy’s very favorite flavor.
Guests were pampered with treats from Nail Garden and given party favors from their new “Minnie Mouse” collection in blush pink. The entire gathering was made enjoyable by PhotoBoothPro.com who showcased their ultra sleek Instagram Print Station. Guests took pictures from their phones, uploaded to Instagram with the hashtag #JaimeAndGuyBaby, and moments later received a 4×6 print as a party favor! Here are some of our favorite shots!

The shower could not have been more complete without Daddy Scrubs to host this unforgettable co-ed party. On board with a daddy station filled with products from their line of fun gifts for dads, dotting Daddy to be quickly donned their delivery scrubs emblazoned with “I’m the Daddy,” flaunting his Daddy status. It was important to Jaime that Guy be a big part of this experience with her. Guy explained, “I had never been to a baby shower before, and was overwhelmed with all the love and support we got from our family and friends.
Renee Simlak did a tremendous job. I want to import this tradition, and Renee, to Israel!” Daddy Scrubs also featured their water bottles, ties, mugs, and daddy diaper packs. The baby kicked in excitement as Jaime & Guy reveled over their new items such as Little Castle’s Valente Glider from Nomikids in Beverly Hills. Jaime gushed, “I’m in baby heaven, and can’t wait for her to be settled into her beautiful nursery.” Amongst other favs were gifts from MomciergeLA, Rockabye Mommy, Belly Bandit, Britax, My Brest Friend, Nashelle and Joovy.

Good friends included Lindsay Price and Curtis Stone, Jaime King, James Van Der Beek and wife Kimberly etc… After 3 years long distance from Tel Aviv to LA, the best gift of all was Daddy and Mommy-to- be finally living in one place settling into their permanent home with baby. Jaime and Guy were tickled pink to have everyone in the same room surrounded by family and closest friends sharing in this wonderful occasion. “Renee Simlak, baby shower planner extraordinaire, did an amazing job putting this event together. She planned every detail, from top to bottom, so Guy and I could relax and enjoy our day. She also surprised us with many things, and we were blown away. The shower wouldn’t have been such a success without her.”
