Traveling is one of the wonderful gifts of life. Going to new places and discovering new things, nothing beats it. If you’re looking for travel ideas, then I’ve come up with a travel bucket list. This is a list of four things you should do before you die:

Machu Picchu Hike

I’ll kick things off with something that requires you to be a little active! Going on a Machu Picchu hike is a once in a lifetime experience. For starters, the country of Peru is rife with South American culture. It’s a wonderful place for you to visit and gain new experiences. But, a trek to Machu Picchu should definitely be on your agenda while there. Machu Picchu is a world-famous archeological site that is simply mesmerizing. Being on top of a mountain you get to see some fantastic sites, as well as viewing some ancient history.

Witness The Northern Lights

Who knew that staring at the sky could be so fun? Well, witnessing the Northern Lights is something I believe everyone needs to do. The Aurora Borealis is a natural phenomenon that will leave your mouth hanging wide open. It just doesn’t seem real! No doubt you’ve seen pictures of it, but viewing it in the flesh is completely different. A lot of people don’t know where to see the Aurora Borealis, and the answer is that there’s no exact location. There isn’t one spot you must travel to and stand on a cross and tilt your head skyward. No, there are various countries you can visit that will allow you to see this incredible sight.

Visit The Grand Canyon

Another thing you should do before you die is travel to the grand canyon. When you arrive at the grand canyon, don’t be surprised if you can’t breathe for a few moments. Seeing it for the first time will truly take your breath away. It’s almost like a natural piece of art, sculpted from the earth itself. You already know the canyon is massive, but it looks so much bigger in person. If possible, get there just as the sun is setting, it is beautiful. If you care about nature and natural phenomenon’s, then the grand canyon is a must. Plus, a grand canyon sunset picture could potentially break Instagram.

Try Authentic Italian Cuisine

I shall round things off with a food one, because who doesn’t like food? It’s a fact that Italian food is some of the best on this planet. It’s also a fact that Italian food tastes even better in Italy. There must be something in the air there that gives everything extra flavour. Even a simple pasta dish tastes better in Italy; the tomatoes are splendid. Then, there’s the epitome of iconic Italian foods – the pizza. If you haven’t tasted authentic Italian pizza, then you haven’t lived. Italians claim that the best pizza in Italy heralds from a little pizzeria in Napoli. Be warned, if you go there, expect to queue for a long time! Getting a proper taste of Italy is certainly something you need to do before you die.
