Our new favorite LA establishment is hands-down The Churchill on 3rd. It’s a no-brainer if you’re looking for candlelight, great wine, and hot men. Indeed, the place is filled with them. And they’re all wearing suits. Sir Winston must have been a real looker!
While gazing at gorgeous guys over your pinot noir from the corner booth, you can’t help but be swept away into another time and place. The gastropub is designed like a turn-of-the-century English country house, and features a front patio with a fireplace, lower bar, private upstairs room, and upstairs dj lounge. There’s even an old school photo booth.

The beer and wine selection is top notch (we definitely recommend the house pinot noir!), but the cocktails are perhaps the best. Our picks are the Pimm’s Cup (Pimm’s, strawberries, cucumber and orange slices mixed with homestyle lemonade and a dash of soda) and the Cucumber Julep (Bulleit Bourbon mixed with muddled mint, cucumber and agave nectar. Served over crushed ice). If you’re really feeling the mood, go with The Cedar Room, made with Bacon infused George Dickel #8 bourbon, Ramazzotti Amaro, Mathilde Framboise with a Lagavulin rinse and sour cherry bitters. Served on the rocks with house made bacon.
Yes, besides being a looker, Sir Winston loved his bacon.
