There’s no point in denying it… Sundays are for brunching. If you’re in the LA area and need a cute venue to take your mom on Mother’s Day, or a chic spot for the crew, Firefly in Studio City is the most legit spot on the map.
The front bar area is dark and enclosed and gives off an old-world vibe which leads to the covered dining area (where the brunch buffet is set up). Take a right and you’re in the big, open dining garden, lush with overhanging trees and canopy-style tables with orange curtains.
Firefly’s Executive Chef Chad Mandel’s Mother’s Day Brunch features cured-meats, house made pastries, a craft Bloody Mary bar, Rosé Mimosas, made to order omelets, a raw bar, and other brunch delights. It’s a buffet, which is already a wonderful thing, but with Firefly’s unsurpassed food, it will be the best spot for mothers to enjoy their special day.

Later in the evening, a three course prix-fixe menu will be available that promises to pull out all of stops on the plate. Beginning with a decadent Amuse Bouche of Minted Peas and Vadouvan Carrots, guests can then chose from first course options like the Tuna Tartar or the Perfect Poached Egg. The main course will feature Farmers Market Fresh Fish, Mushroom Pappardelle, a succulent Filet, or Mary’s Chicken. The sweet and perfect finish is a choice between Berries and Cream or Chocolate and Hazlenuts. A full menu can be found here.
These courses are accompanied by Sparkling Rosé with the whole experience costing $75 per person.
