Coming up with a holiday itinerary can be a great way to plan a memorable trip. You don’t always need to plan an itinerary. Sometimes you can just show up, hope for the best and have a great time. However, creating an itinerary will help you to have the best time. Here are some tips for coming up with your own holiday itinerary:

Consider Your Budget — Before you can create the perfect holiday itinerary, you need to consider your budget. Don’t just go on holiday and expect to wing it. Guessing as you go along could mean you end up with no money left towards the end of your holiday. Then you’d be in quite the pickle! Take your budget into account for food, drink, and anything else you might need to purchase. Know exactly how much you have for travel, excursions, and activities. Make sure you have a little left over too, just in case. You can’t be too careful!

Do a Mix of Activities — Make sure you do a mix of activities to make the most of the place you’re travelling to. This should give you a great experience of the place you’ve visited, rather than just seeing one side of things. If you’re going with more than one person, make sure you both get a say in what to do. The itinerary will need to suit everybody for you all to have an incredible time. When people think of trips to Blackpool for example, they think of tat shops and Pleasure beach. But you can also go shopping, spend time on the beach, and see shows. There are all kinds of things you can do to have a good time!

Don’t Fill it Up Too Much — Although it can be tempting to pack the itinerary full of exciting stuff, you shouldn’t fill it up too much. You might find something you want to do while you’re over there and be upset that you’ve already planned something else. You might even just want some time to explore to yourself. Make sure you’re realistic.

Stay Flexible — Stay flexible with your itinerary. This doesn’t just mean leaving time to explore and find other things to do, but try not to get upset if something doesn’t go to plan. This could impact the rest of your trip! Just go with the flow and stay relaxed.

Download One Offline — If you haven’t got much time, you might find it helpful to download a ready made one offline. You can then make changes as you see fit. You could even just go with the itinerary and see what happens!

Make sure you don’t leave it too late before coming up with an itinerary of your own, or you might start to panic. Give yourself plenty of time to research and come up with plans that will suit everybody on the trip. It might not feel spontaneous and fun with an itinerary, but it’s the best way to do everything that appeals to you and stay within your budget. It’s only logical!
