Style Fashion Week LA returned last week with their 5th season of fashion shows presented in downtown Los Angeles at the Vibiana Cathedral. The week kicked off with an elegant opening reception hosted by the Luxe City Center Hotel. Guests of this exclusive event enjoyed specialty cocktails, Peroni beer, and delicious appetizers, while meeting some of the season’s talented designers.
Monday, March 11th Gregorio Sanchez debuted the stunning collection of his new brand the GREGORIO SANCHEZ COLLECTION. Chic detailing set off his collection of sleek trenches, tailored slacks, and bold skirts. Collection Rhapsody the latest ready-to-wear line by Beso Moda, featured striking dresses embellished with elegant lace, beads, and sequins. Ina Soltani closed out the first evening of shows with her inspired Spring/Summer 2013 collection. Sophisticated leather accents and dramatic cuts were crowd pleasers in Ina Soltani’s signature collection.
Tuesday, March 12th, premier downtown boutique Brigade presented looks from over ten designer brands. Brigade represents designer brands including: Vivienne Westwood, Jeffrey Campbell, Wild Fox, Chan Luu, Alice + Olivia, Haute Hippie, Elizabeth + James, and House of Harlow. Showcasing everything from swimsuits to fashion-forward ensembles, Brigade made its mark as an authority on style and cutting edge trends. Next, the boho chic collection by XCVI made an unforgettable impression. Full of ultra wearable women’s ensembles, the brand’s Fall color palette and youthful tie-dying defined the versatile collection as “Fashion you can live in”. Returning designer Paulie Gibson amped up excitement incorporating an elaborate dance performance into his show. Bold print jackets and tailored trousers marked a sophisticated turn in Paulie Gibson’s new BLUEPRINT collection, while splashes of color maintained the designers recognizable style.
Wednesday, March 13th, Style Fashion Week was thrilled to host their first collective show featuring lines for kids and young adults. The fantastical Hollywood Doll show began when Willie Wonka, in top hat and cane, announced a special performance by Hollywood Doll co-creator Kaya Jones. It was an unmissable performance that set the stage for the fanciful debut collection of Hollywood Doll. Bright leggings and full tutu skirts popped on the runway, bringing cheers from fashion week guests. Next, a bohemian inspired line by Frankie and Sue featured playful ensembles for young fashionistas. Lively prints and woven scarves made this an exciting and thoughtful collection. The line by es + es kids put a creative and youthful spin on modern trends, expressing both imagination and innovation in the realm of children’s style.
Wednesday evening, returning designer Quynh Paris impressed the crowd with a brand new Fall collection. Tailored jackets, structured ensembles, and ethereal gowns took center stage in an awe-inspiring collection by the international designer. ASH Haute Couture returned this season with a sensational collection featuring glamorous fascinator hats. The line’s impeccable workmanship and timeless silhouettes made this collection a fan favorite. Pia Gladys Perey closed the evening with a high energy Fall 2013 collection. Dramatic cuts and stunning leather accents drew the eyes of guests in Pia Gladys Perey’s highly anticipated show.
Thursday, March 14th the new line by LINDEN made its runway debut. Inspired by the Haruki Marukami novel The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, this capsule collection of hard and soft textures maintained flattering silhouettes and expressed simplistic, wearable style. Brilliant designer Trey Alligood of Madisonpark Collective began his show with an elaborately choreographed dance performance. From classic coats to lively knit wear, the collection emphasized the unique wearability and fresh designs Madisonpark Collective brings to the runway.
Thursday evening, Style Fashion Week LA presented the 3nd annual Go Red for Women Fashion Show benefiting the American Heart Association. Over 20 stunning celebrities including: Kim Porter, Raina Hein, Kaya Jones, Genevieve Jackson, Gretchen Rossi, and Lilly Ghalichi walked the runway in designer gowns by Masai Payan, Alexis Monsanto, Traver Rains, Sherri Hill, Sachika, Terani Couture, Quynh Paris and many more. Hosted by celebrity stylist Anya Sarre, this special event was dedicated to raise awareness for the Go Red Movement and build support for the American Heart Association. Celebrity guests Tia Mowry, Stephen Bradley, Paris Jackson, Quincy Brown, Justin Combs, Greyer Dean, and Johnny Anastacio came out to support this important cause. Friday, March 15th The Rampant Fashion Cooperative and House of Devali presented a dual courtyard installation. This unique installation immediately grabbed the attention of guests. House of Devali showcased ten structurally stunning women’s looks. Models wore dramatic mouth pieces and stood motionless throughout the exhibit. The Rampant Fashion Cooperative showcased ten menswear ensembles. The pieces conveyed authority and strength with powerful jackets and woven pants.Style Fashion Week’s grand finale night featured the collections from three stunning designers: ROXANNE NIKKI, Bryan Hearns, and Michael Cinco. Canadian designer, Roxanne Nikki showcased a new collection from her namesake brand, ROXANNE NIKKI. ROXANNE NIKKI has been featured in blockbuster films and is popular among high-profile celebrities and musicians. This season’s collection featured high fashion, baroque-inspired fabrics, emphasizing the designer’s classic use of leather accents and furs. Bryan Hearns’ collection showcased fresh combinations of eclectic materials and structured ensembles. Michael Cinco’s hauntingly beautiful show left the crowd breathless. His theatrical, show-stopping gowns were adorned with exquisite embellishments expressing themes of dark elegance. The impeccable designs created a visual experience that stunned the audience and left them in awe of the designer’s ingenuity.

All week long the Crocker Club hosted fashion week’s luxury courtyard lounge. Here fashion week guests enjoyed elegant lounge furnishings and specialty drinks including: Le Diabolo Beverages, Naked Juice, Monster Energy, and Hint Water. Official beer sponsor Peroni provided beverages all week. Peroni has a strong history within the fashion industry, partnering with both world-renowned designers and emerging talent. Throughout the week the courtyard lounge offered guests an up close look at the Rolls Royce Phantom, the Bentley GTC, and a brand new state of the art Range Rover. DJ Paper and DJ BoomBoxBri spun amazing music each night.
Throughout the week, California jewelry maker, Sara Horne, showcased her jewelry collection for guests in the courtyard lounge. Celebrities including Tia Mowry, Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, and Scheana Marie flocked to Sara Horne Jewelry’s exhibit.
ASH Haute Couture presented a line of elegant jewel encrusted bracelets in the courtyard lounge. Celebrities including Grayer Dean, Anna Trebunskaya, and the lovely ladies of Vanderpump Rules couldn’t get enough of ASH Haute Couture’s glamorous jewelry.
LA’s BLOOM Showroom featured 5 accessory designers Monday through Friday in a courtyard showcase including the collections of fan favorite designers Casalinda Studio, Jolica Horizontal Something Charming, and Lila Clare Jewelry.
