There are lots of gems in Hollywood, some real, others… not so real. This definitely applies when it comes to bling, but when it comes to neighborhood restaurant brilliance, Solar de Cahuenga is a real gem for sure.
Nestled on the corner of Franklin and you guessed it, Cahuenga, Hollywood’s favorite cafe serves up delicious coffees, omelets, crepes, even beer and wine from morning to night. It’s the best spot for brunch, lunch, dinner, and everything in between, without the frills, but definitely not without the ambiance.
Brightly lit and reminiscent of a French sidewalk cafe, there are two outdoor seating areas, one complete with a water fountain! TGIFguide recommends you try any of the crepes, they have some for every palate, especially the Blue Sky (Homemade blueberry apple compote, cream cheese & honey)!
You’ve also got to give the Red Velvet Pancakes a whirl, not to mention the Eggs Florentine (Toasted English muffin sliced and topped with spinach cream sauce, smoked salmon, two poached eggs and Hollandaise sauce. Served with grilled potatoes). But hey, everything on the menu is worth a try at Solar!
You’ll have to be the judge of who’s bling is real or not amongst the clientele though.
