As summer vacation season begins in earnest, countless visitors will make the trip to the Los Angeles Area to enjoy the sunshine, seaside and culture the city has to offer. Taking the guesswork out of your summer vacation plans is SIXTY Beverly Hills, where California Cool meets East Coast sophistication. Here, their experts share where insiders eat, rest and play:

FRIDAY NIGHT:
6:00PM Arrive at SIXTY Beverly Hills.  Located in the glamorous Los Angeles enclave renowned for its Rodeo Drive boutiques and Hollywood power-playgrounds, SIXTY Beverly Hills is a serene-but-scene-stealing outpost featuring luxurious comforts like bespoke furnishings, artfully designed bedroom suites and a gallery of Hollywood-evocative imagery from fashion photographer Steven Klein.

7:30PM Grab a Mediterranean inspired bite at Kismet. Insiders say to order the rabbit for two.

9:30PM End the night by taking in sweeping views of the city and fabled canyons at Above SIXTY.  Sip on cocktails like the Strawberry Smash with fresh strawberries, mint, lemon and vodka; or the Passion Fruit Caipirinha with cachaca, passion fruit puree, lime and sugar, while listening to eclectic DJ sets from local artists.

SATURDAY:
9:00AM Recalibrate in the morning with breakfast at Caulfield’s. Offering contemporary American cuisine with tasteful European influences, Caulfield’s unites New York Swagger, Paris allure and Hollywood history. Start smart with a Green Machine smoothie with spinach, pineapple, orange juice, kale and lemon, or indulge in the California classic, Huevos Rancheros, before hitting the town.

11:00AM Get a culture-fix with a visit to LACMA to check out the David Hockney: 82 Portraits and 1 Still-life exhibit. While you’re there, be sure to take a selfie in the Urban Light sculpture from Chris Burden.

1:00PM Head back to Beverly Hills to view more beautiful things in the form of shopping on Rodeo Drive. Be sure to detour to N. Beverly Drive to Boulmiche of Pretty Woman fame!

3:00PM Take your new purchases back to SIXTY and enjoy a little R&R (it is vacation after all) beside the rooftop pool. Nosh on light bites like the Ahi Tuna Tartare, Grilled Jumbo Shrimp, or a Caprese Salad with whipped ricotta and balsamic reduction.

7:00PM Make the trip to Chinatown for David Chang’s first LA outpost, majordōmo. Foodies are raving over the spicy cod steamed in paper and the chickpea hozon with bing bread.

9:00PM Slip into the newly opened speakeasy-style, Employees Only West Hollywood. Brave souls can hear their fortunes from the psychic who sits in front of the secret door.

SUNDAY:
9:00AM Indulge in room service while luxuriating for the last few hours of vacation in your plush 400-thread count sferra linens, or soak in the tub before slipping into the Maison Margiela bathrobe. Strong coffee and an Avocado Toast close the trip in style.

10:30AM Spend your final hours beachside by heading out to Santa Monica. Rent a bike and tour the waterfront path, or simply soak in the sun on the sand. Test out some California food trucks like Guerrilla Tacos before heading to LAX and home.
