Prohibition happened a long time ago, and it’s definitely not a secret that we, as a fashionable society, all love a good cocktail.  Or three.  But that’s not saying that we don’t love a good secret too, especially when there’s a cocktail involved.

Hidden behind the Main drag in Culver City, you’ll find the dark-lit hideaway that is  Seventy7 Lounge.  Think about all of your favorite things,  like s’mores and watermelon for that matter,  and they’ve got it in cocktail form.  The menu is seasonally updated with luscious new libations,  but if you know what you’re after and it’s not on the menu, our main man and GM of Seventy7, Matthew Goldberg will mix you up whatever you like.

TGIFguide definitely reccomends the Jack and the Beanstalk, which is crafted with Gentlemen Jack,  Carpano Antica Vermouth, muddled watermelon and vanilla bean syrup.  Delicious? We think YES.  It’s the perfect summer drink to bring back memories of eating watermelon in backyard when you were a kid, but now that we’re big kids, it’s mixed with bourbon!

Another winner is the Smortini,  featuring Wodka Vodka, Vanilla schnapps, Godiva Chocolate Liqueur, topped with a Graham Cracker crust and toasted baby marshmallows.  And you’re wondering why we’re obsessed.

We don’t only love Seventy7 Lounge because of it’s cocktails (although it’s a very good reason to), we love that they have beers like Hoegaarden on tap!  Once you get a little hungry the Sesame Crusted Shrimp and  Goat Cheese and Arugula Salad are house specialties you’ve just got to try. You can check out their entire menu here, and we definitely hope to see you there.  And feel free to pass on the secret.
