The art of quilting has never really been considered “modern” until now. Leave it to our favorite design duo (followed closely behind by the Olsen twins) Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez  of Proenza Schouler to take a time-honored craft and bring it in to the next millennium. As they sent look by look down the runway, the fashion pack fell in love with quilted construction just as we’ve been falling for the designers since their graduation from Parson’s in 2002.

Patches of python crafted into vests, and sleeveless dresses collaged from squares of exotic skins and leather are already at the top of our list of must-haves for next spring!
