This past Sunday I decided to skip the mimosas and high carb brunch and instead had the opportunity to check out PRESSED Boston. PRESSED, located on Charles street in Beacon Hill, is a juice bar known for its cold pressed juices, superfood shakes and healthy on the go snacks. PRESSED owners Ashley Gleeson and David Clendenin knew that fast, healthy options in the area were limited and acknowledged the demand for something new and different. The menu was created by New York chef Joya Carlton, who specializes in vegan cuisine. PRESSED, however is not considered vegan or vegetarian but rather, clean, fresh and healthy.
PRESSED is by far the best juice bar I’ve been to in Boston. The location is amazing! Beacon Hill is such a beautiful neighborhood. The shop has a very inviting atmosphere and the décor is very fitting. I was surprised and impressed with the variety on the menu. I wasn’t expecting so many different food options.
My absolute favorite new drink is the “Charge” superfood shake. It’s a blend of cacao, cold brew coffee, almond butter and almond milk. The avocado smash is one of the best I have ever had (Pepita avocado mash toast) It was a bit spicy which I love. I also tried the “Paletas” (gourmet popsicles) My favorite was the watermelon and jalapeño. It was such a unique combination.
I highly recommend to anyone who needs a quick pick me up to go for one of the cold pressed juices. They are very revitalizing, healthy and served in these really awesome glass bottles.
It is very refreshing to find a quick healthy option in the area. Especially when many on- the-go food choices nowadays are triple fried and loaded with a day’s worth of calories. PRESSED even has an app where you can access the full menu and place your order ahead of time. Smart and very convenient! Thank you to PRESSED Boston for a wonderful experience and a big thank you to Chelsea Gleeson for the recommendations and outstanding service!
