Happy almost New Year, everyone!!  I’m super excited to be kicking off 2016 at the New York Times Travel Show this January. With over 500 international exhibitors and over 28,000 people attending, there’s no better way for a travel blogger (especially this one!) to start off the new year.

The event takes place at the Javitz Center in New York, and if you’ve ever been in NYC in January, well, packing light isn’t necessarily an option. The New York winter wind can cut like a knife, so it’s important to equip yourself for the battle!  Here’s what I’m planning to pack in order to stay fabulously, stylishly cozy.

Have any ideas on what to pace for a winter work trip? Let me know in the comments!

Wool/Cashmere Scarf  — A large, cozy scarf is my number one essential! Not only can it double as a blanket on the plane, you can wrap it around your head to keep your ears warm. When it comes to accessories, there’s noting more versatile than a comfy, neutral colored scarf. This one by Club Monaco is 10% Cashmere and 90% Wool, get it now for your own winter getaway!

Comfy Over The Knee Boots — I’ve learned through experience that trekking through icy streets is by no means fun when you’re wearing the wrong shoes. These best-selling, iconic, over-the-knee boots by Stuart Weitzman feature stretch-fabric back for comfortable fit and a low heel, perfect for endless walking and networking. My mom always said, if the shoe fits, buy it in every color! But for this trip to the Big Apple, elegant/edgy black will do just fine. Shop these boots here!

A Sleek Coat — This wool blend Reefer Coat by Calvin Klein is a classic! There’s no better way to represent your business and still stay cozy than with slim, fitted profile and a refined menswear-inspired coat. To keep from being “basic” you can incorporate some color into your look with fun hats, sweaters or mittens, I definitely plan to!

With these 3 items in tow, I think it’s safe to say my winter woes will be non-existent. I hope you love them as much as I do! Thanks for reading and Happy New Year!

Next stop, NYC!
