While we love LA, sometimes all the traffic and hipsters can be a bit much. You’re definitely not to blame that on occasion, you catch yourself day dreaming of a stroll under La Tour Eiffel, French kisses, and couscous royal.
Today just might be your lucky day, because we’ve discovered a little piece of Paris in Los Feliz, and it’s called Figaro Bistrot.
Los Feliz, being one of the “hippest” neighborhoods in LA, along with its counterpart Silver Lake, is full of wonderful restaurants, bars, and boutiques, but never mind that you’re in hipster-ville, because once you set foot in the bistrot, you’ll forget you’re in Southern California alltogether.
Besides being able to dine sidewalk cafe style, there are 3 distinct dining rooms inside:
A Bistrot- where you’ll find decadent dishes and candle light.
A Boulangerie – where fresh baked croissants, baguettes, french tartes and macaroons await.
A Lounge – where you’ll dine amidst fin-de sicle decor, French antiques, cast-iron chandeliers, and a zinc bar.
The menu features bistro standards like grilled steak topped with Roquefort peppercorn sauce served with a side of frittes and butter garlic escargot just to name a few. TGIFguide recommends you try the Sole, served with green beans and a creamy lemon sauce, paired with the Parmentier de legumes, layers of mushrooms, spinach, and mashed potatoes, and of course, the Couscous Royal!
Le Figaro also features and amazing brunch and happy hour. You can literally spend an entire day here, maybe a week.
Not to mention, the Louis Vuitton Madonna ads were shot here!
So TGIFguide readers, see you in Paris?
