After months of hard work it was an absolute pleasure to welcome everyone to the very first LA Swim Week last Thursday at The London, West Hollywood.
The event was the vision of the amazing Connie Borja, designer of Amour Luxury Swimwear. Connie had shown her line at multiple fashion shows around the world and felt like it was time LA had its name on the map, and thus began to put the event together. We watched it grow into the successful show which garnished interest from celebrities and big brands alike.
It was such an honor to work with her!

Guests were invited to shop the LASWÂ Pop Up Shop during the day, and although it was a bit warm, we still had fun!

One of my favorite parts about LASW was that we had a live sketch artist, Emily Brickel of one of my favorite apps of all time, Chic Sketch, in the front row illustrating all of the action. Fashion is art, so it was a perfect fit to have a live artist be part of our event. If you download the app, just submit your selfie and a live fashion illustrator will send back a custom drawing! Here’s a glimpse of Emily’s work while live at LASW, I hope you love it as much as I do!
Last but not least, I have to thank our AMAZING TEAM. This event was built by love, and we couldn’t have asked for a better team of people supporting us! From our production team to our stage manger to our tequila sneaker-inner to our staff running the guest list, THANK YOU to EVERYBODY!
