Los Angeles is one of the most dynamic cities in the world. If you are planning to go there for a weekend, you better plan it out because you will not have enough time for everything in a city so diverse. There are numerous entertaining activities you could include in two days, but bare in mind that sometimes, a little spontaneity cannot hurt.

Laguna Beach — Laguna Beach is a beautiful and a picturesque city with lush vegetation and lovely beaches. You can sunbathe all day long, have a picnic at the hilltop of Heisler Park or, in the evening, have a nice dinner in the city’s downtown.

Hollywood Walk of Fame — If you want to catch a bit of stardust, go on the Walk of Fame. More than 2400 famous actors and directors left their marks in the pavement. This is also the favorite site for movie buffs, since numerous premieres were held just in front of the Chinese Theatre.

LA Clippers — To a sports fan, the first visit to LA should also include a visit to the Staples Center and the popular LA Clippers games. Although I’m not a big sports fan, I purchased some basketball tickets that weekend. Their game was spectacular and I have enjoyed it more than anything else. I would highly recommend this to anyone coming to LA.

Santa Monica Pier — This beautiful LA landmark offers a variety of different types of entertainment. It never stops working throughout the year and it is an admission free activity. Having fun is the imperative, since you have so many enjoyable activities to choose from.

Walt Disney Concert Hall — There are many interesting buildings in the City of Angels, but the most iconic one is the Walt Disney Concert Hall. This psychedelic blend of steel and concrete is more of a sculpture than a building and it is quite a sight, especially on a sunny day.

Disneyland — One of the biggest attractions in LA is the legendary Disneyland. It has great rides, such as the Indiana Jones Adventure or the Space Mountain that you absolutely have to experience. You can also make a lot of pictures with your favorite cartoon characters, as well as relax and feel again like a little child.

Music In LA — Did you know that LA is also famous because of its music? That why Amoeba, the largest independent record store in USA, is located right there in the middle of LA. If you are searching for a particular album or a forgotten artist, this is where you’ll find it. It is a great location to enjoy American music and buy yourself something unique.

Food —  In LA you can taste everything, from exotic east cuisines to classic western food. However, you can find it outside of the fancy restaurants, in great food trucks, that serve food all day and all night. If you want a special food experience, then you need to try some of the best high-end sushi bars.

Nightlife — When a city is as big as Los Angeles it means that there is a wide variety of night clubs. Depending on the type of music you prefer, there are places that will allow you to lose yourself to dance. Among all the endless options, you could find bars with outrageous cocktails and have an amazing 72-hours experience in the City of Angels.

The LA weekend getaway is the perfect opportunity to get yourself acquainted with a new city. Los Angeles offers so much that is simply impossible to see it all in a few days, but it is recommendable to decide whether you want to go on a sightseeing weekend or to enjoy a unique nightlife experience. Either way, this city will remain unforgettable, that I guarantee.
