We love long weekends, and Labor Day is just around the corner, but that means summer is almost over. While the sun is still high in the sky and strawberries are in-season, why not take advantage?!
This delicious recipe courtesy of Celebrity Chef Luca Manfè, winner of Masterchef Season 4, and Bauli, for summer’s sweetest treat, Strawberry Shortcake with Bauli Mini Chocolate Croissants & Whipped Cream.
Chef Manfè’s unique twist on this traditional recipe whips up the perfect dessert for those last summer BBQ’s and is made easy by using Bauli Mini Chocolate Croissants – oven baked and ready-to-eat – as the tasty base ingredient!
Bauli Mini Chocolate Croissants, halved
1 C Heavy whipping cream
¼ C Powdered sugar
1 t Vanilla extract
1 C Strawberries, cut in quarters
2 T Lemon juice
1 T White wine (optional)
1 T Granulated sugar
Bring the heavy cream, powdered sugar and vanilla to a volume with a whisk or a stand mixer.
Toss the strawberries with white wine, lemon juice, sugar and chopped mint.
Place 2 halved mini croissants on a plate, cover each one with 1 T of whipped cream and finish off with strawberries.
