Whether you are heading there for 24 hours or a few days, there is a hell of a lot to do in Vegas. There is some stuff you should definitely do and some stuff you need to be a bit more wary of. But don’t worry just read on to find out.

Do Budget     There is so much to see and do in Vegas that without a daily budget you can’t get yourself into some opus trouble. It’s best to research the activities that you would like to do before hand like seeing a Cirque du Soleil show or visiting the funfair at Circus Circus.

If you are going to be partaking in the casinos, then make sure you have a budget just for that and that it is no more than you can afford to lose. Of course, you don’t have to gamble while you are there, there are plenty of other wonderful thing to enjoy like shopping, clubbing and the famous Vegas buffets. There is even a Sealife Center at Mandalay Bay which is great for kids and grown up alike.

Don’t think you have to stay at one of “the hotels”       There are quite a few options for accommodation available in Vegas even though most people end up staying in one of the hotels on the strip. If you are concerned about the cost or the general level of noise and rowdiness you can always rent a home or take your RV instead.

There is even an RV park on the strip located at Circus Circus, so you don’t have to be away from all the action if you don’t want to be. Check that your RV Park caterers to your type of vehicle before you book your space. Remember some RV types are larger than others, like fifth wheels which are kitted out for a comfortable home from home experience.

Do do the Grand Canyon      Although its about 3 hours drive away from the center of Vegas, it would be a crying shame not to visit this amazing natural wonder. At 227 miles long and 1857 meters deep the grand canyon is the perfect place to take photos and risk the glass horseshoe bridge.

You can even take a helicopter ride into the base of the canyon, where you can stop for a picnic or ride horseback. Image credit

Don’t forget to time your stay        Vegas is one of the places that is different things to different people. That means the vibe there can be very different depending on the time of year you choose to visit. Off season is a little cooler and more family orientated. While Vegas really becomes one of the greatest party destination on Earth in the high season. We are talking pool parties and the like happening pretty much constantly. Avoid spring break too, if you are looking for a quieter vacation.
