Rubber, organza and monsters, oh my! Christopher Kane has definitely put a spell on us – and although his recent collection won’t be available until Spring of next year, we kind of wish it were here for Halloween. The clean, white structured looks that opened the show created a sense of purity that was soon trampled by its more monstrous side – and we mean “monstrous” in the most literal sense. Screen prints of Frankenstein himself popped up in the mix of clothes that were ever so elegantly bolted down and taped together. Writers create plays on words, and Christopher Kane created plays on fashion. Surely to be a trendsetting collection, watch for monster-inspired looks and graphics everywhere.
