We’ve got some exciting news from Miracle and Sippin’ Santa, the pop-up Christmas cocktail bar concepts! They will be returning to the Los Angeles/Long Beach/Anaheim area this season.

Miracle is a beloved holiday-themed bar pop-up started in NYC at cocktail bar Mace in 2014. With over the top Christmas décor and seasonal cocktails served is kitschy and nostalgic glassware, it proved so popular that the founder created a sort of franchise kit, selling the concept to other bar owners around the world. This year it has grown to over 110 locations and its tiki-inspired counterpart, Sippin’ Santa, will have over 20 worldwide, with one coming to the area for the first time.

Sippin’ Santa and Miracle partners around the world will host Ugly Sweater Parties at their locations on Monday, December 2nd, With the goal of having the largest combined ugly sweater gathering the world has ever seen! Guests are encouraged to don their best (i.e. tackiest) garb and join in the revelry of the Christmas season at their neighborhood Sippin’/Miracle location and of course, post the ugly sweater evidence on social media.  Details on each area location are below!

Anaheim: Miracle at The Blind Rabbit & Sippin’ Santa at Strong Water – **First time the Sippin’ concept has been in the area!

From partners Ying and Robert Adamson, this duo is no stranger to Miracle, having activated the concept at their speakeasy The Blind Rabbit in years past. But they are thrilled to bring the Sippin’ Santa tiki concept to their recently opened Strong Water for the first time. A standout for this year at Sippin’ Santa at Strong Water is the Jingle Bowl, a festive shareable large format rum punch served in a bowl resembling a hot tub, complete with Santa and a reindeer taking a boozy soak. Each location will be open from December 1 – December 30 and will have select additional programming throughout the duration. See the team’s social media for more info.

Long Beach: Miracle at The Ordinarie

Coming to Long Beach for the first time, the team behind American Tavern The Ordinarie will transform into a winter wonderland with Miracle. For their Ugly Sweater Party on Monday, December 2nd, the venue will have live music, which is a staple year round at The Ordinarie. New cocktail and glassware standouts for 2020 include Miracle’s SanTaRex, Rye Whiskey, Oloroso Sherry, Spiced and Hard Apple Cider, Lemon Juice & Baked Apple Bitters, served in a stand out bright green Tyrannosaurus Rex ceramic mug – because even dinosaurs are getting into the holiday spirit. Their location will launch Friday, November 29th and run through last call Christmas Eve, December 24th.

Los Angeles: Miracle on Melrose (at Melrose Umbrella Co.)

First timers to Miracle, Melrose Umbrella Co. is thrilled to bring the concept to the heart of Los Angeles’ historic Melrose shopping district. As a concept that regularly pays homage to the history of the post-prohibition era, the elevated holiday drinks of Miracle fit well within the team’s repertoire of cocktail creating, but give them the chance to get a bit kitschy with the addition of over the top décor and humorous glassware. Opening Tuesday November 26th and running through Sunday, December 29th, Miracle on Melrose will also participate in the Miracle “Largest Ugly Sweater Party” gathering on Monday, December 2nd.
