The TGIFguide team was super excited to hear about all of the fantastic British footwear designers exhibiting at MAGIC Las Vegas this season.  Top designers showed their collections at FN Platform in Vegas, the 19th – 21st of August, and we can’t wait to get our hands on some of their awesome styles – and apparently we’re not the only ones. Back at February’s trade show reports confirm that the market displayed its confidence in the unparalleled creativity and style of British designers by writing over $2.2million worth of business. Top department stores and influential independents from all over the USA, Canada and South America voted with their check books – and the votes were all British!

Over thirty British brands attended the show – from the up-and-coming to established favorites.

We were loving the creative and quality styles including modern classics from David Scott, Solovair and Steptronic; the ethical to avant-garde Aspiga, Chocolate Schubar, Juju, Laidback London, and Beyond Skin; the truly hot Ted Baker, Northern Cobbler, Cocorose, and Julian Hakes, not to mention the about to be world famous Miss L Fire, about to open its first retail outlet in the USA.

None of this would have been possible without the British Footwear Association.  Backed by UK Trade and Investment (UKTI), the BFA continues to invest in dynamic marketing and international PR support. Working with Footwear News and the FN Platform organisers, the program includes advertorials, e-marketing campaigns and extensive use of social media. The BFA team was on hand during the duration of the trade show assisting visitors and supporting the exhibitors to ensure everyone had the ‘Best of British’ experience! And we sure did =)
