I’ve got one question for you: Are you a veCAN or a veCAN’T?!

My co-blogger Olliwood and I headed to North Hollywood this weekend to find out who was who at the Vegan Street Fair. Our friends at The Federal Bar invited us to attend, and although we admit we’re not always vegan, but we do enjoy good food!  Oh, and good beer too, of course!

The carefully curated market featured eats from Burgerlords, Equelecuá Cuban Café, Mandoline Grill, Ridiculous Baking Company featuring Minnesota’s famed The Herbivorous Butcher, and Taqueria La Venganza from Oakland. Who was behind the curating? The one and only instafamous, veganInstagram personality: @VeganFatKid

Also on the VSF Nights roster was Cha Cha Kombucha, Charlie’s Brownies, Cup My Cakez, Divine Dips Vegan Ice Cream, The Federal Bar, Ihsan’s Falafel, India Jones Chow Truck, The Donuttery, Todo Verde, Vegan Dots, World Empanadas, and Yoga-urt. We were happy to be boasting VIP bracelets so that we got to bypass most of the lines (which were very, very, very long).

While Olliwood and I opted for tacos, some of the other highlights were all vegan ham and cheese croissants, plantain nachos, banh mi sandwiches, homemade pretzels, and warm brownies a la mode.

Once we had our fill of vegan cuisine, and fun on the foosball table, we couldn’t help but sneak over to the Federal Bar to grab a cocktail and a Poutine 😉 but let’s keep that between us!

All around, we were happy to enjoy some great food, friendly people and an awesome atmosphere! Until next year, don’t eat Bambi! Go vegan!
