If there’s an ideal way to get around Los Angeles, it’s definitely in a Porsche. And if there’s an ideal night to go out in this city of Angels, it’s Thursday.

Thursday tends to be the night of the week that fabulous people dedicate to fabulous events. This past Thursday was no exception, in fact, it set the bar for what a night out in LA should be. After a refreshing glass of Pinot Grigio at Le Clafoutis on the Sunset Strip, it was off to a beautiful home in Bel Air for the debut soiree for DESTINATION LUXURY, an online magazine that focuses on the luxury market by capturing the most exclusive of locales and events in alluring, poignant and inspiring images and videos. Check this video and you’ll see exactly what we mean :

The always elegant Jacqueline Depaul and I strutted our stuff on the red carpet and exchanged words with some of LA’s finest, including designer Sue Wong and founder of DESTINATION LUXURY, David Christopher Lee.

Guests enjoyed a handbag and wine pairing featuring JAMAH Luxury Handbags designed by the lovely Nancy Gale and wines by Paso Robles Winery. JAMAH’s exquisite pieces are crafted from exotic leathers like alligator, ostrich and eel, and Nancy Gale has customized bags for many of her clients and admirers, including her most recent design for Mercedes Benz, a bag called “The Jackie.”

Surrounded by the beautiful music provided by the Young Musician’s Foundation, we relaxed on the patio of the amazing mansion and nibbled on Italian delicacies from Caffe Roma. Talk about a way to unwind after a long day of work!

The clock was ticking and our next “luxury destination” was at the re-launched Porsche Design store on Rodeo Drive.  Porsche partnered with VOGUE to celebrate the beautiful re-design of the store, of which both the interior and the exterior were completely remodeled, putting a fresh spin on the iconic style that we know and love from Porsche.

Associate Director of Special Events at Vogue, Cara Crowley and Los Angeles Executive Director of Vogue, Carol Ann Hamill were looking lovely in their summer shades of tangerine and nude lace – we love the touch of color with the turquoise earrings too!

Speaking of style, costume design guru Janie Bryant hosted the event in support of  Partners for Pediatric Progress, a charity dedicated to the global advancement of children’s health care.  Other celebs and socialites were celebrating the newly designed Porsche store, including actress Jaimie Alexander , tennis star Maria Sharapova (LOVE her look too!), Patrick Dempsey, and Mischa Barton.

While sipping on white wine and specialty cocktails, guests secured a sneak peek of the Porsche Design Fall/Winter 2013 collection via an art wall installation featuring the images for the upcoming campaign shot by the renowned Peter Lindbergh.

Accompanying the photo wall, some fabulous ice sculptures embedded with Porsche sunglasses were on display in the courtyard. My crew and I absolutely loved the tinted lenses, and couldn’t help but doing a photo shoot of our own!

The event was expertly designed decorated by Cory Martin of Cory Martin Events and his team, even with the random July rain it, everything looked wonderful. Take a look at some of these snaps of the amazing new store, and be sure to make a point to visit it soon, so that you too can be one of the first to glimpse the new design, and don’t forget to mention that TGIFguide sent you.

Wishing you all a great rest of the weekend, and given this amazing Thursday night, we can’t wait to see what’s in store for next week!

Until then…
