Can you think of a better way to spend the day than hanging with your bestie (and fellow blogger) and perusing through aisle upon aisle of the world’s best beauty products? I can’t! From the red carpet, celebrity and FX work in Tinsel Town to weddings on the beach in Orange County, The Makeup Show LA  was full of the artists and the brands that provide the magic behind it all.
The 2-day event was packed with the city’s leading makeup artists as well as up-and-comers who were there to build a better kit, learn new tips for their careers and meet makeup legends. Attendees included makeup artists, retail artists, estheticians, cosmetologists, hairstylists, freelance artists, fashion stylists, buyers, agents, photographers, models, costume and theater designers, face and body painters… and of course, TGIFguide!

The Makeup Show also announced an award and gallery in honor of the legendary makeup artist Maurice Stein who has worked on over 200 films and TV shows and over 4,000 commercials with some of the biggest stars. Both the gallery and show were brought together in part by The Makeup Show and the Stein Family to honor and celebrate the life of Maurice Stein for his work and countless contributions as a union makeup artist, educator, mentor, and entrepreneur.
