Recently, I had the fabulous opportunity to experience 55 Thousand Dresses, thanks to Fashion Week San Diego founder and friend, Allison Andrews. After the short drive to Gardena from LA I saw a large white warehouse that seemed more fitting for apparel production than for a showroom.

However, when I entered there was a nice waiting room filled with newspaper clippings, manikins in full-length extravagantly beaded dresses and a small trophy on the wall indicating Guinness World Record status for Largest Clothing Label Collector in the World. Immediately, I was greeted by and welcomed by Paul, Margot and their daughter the owners and passionate dress collectors.

With my shopping champagne in hand, I entered dress heaven with fellow fashion and lifestyle blogger, Jenna of Lucky Little Mustard Seed. Two tiered racks filled to the end extended the length of the warehouse (only part of the collection 18,000)!

Searching through the racks I found so many lovely options for my sophisticated chic wardrobe. I love the timeless beautiful creations that Paul and Margot saved I feel so privileged to wear the art they have saved and give these dresses some new nights on the town.

If you love timeless vintage dresses you will love this unique collection and enjoy wearing a little piece of history. They show the collection for purchase by appointment only, email  assist@55thousanddresses.com or you can shop a few pieces here.
