Paris.  Rome.  India.

Some of the destinations on your travel wish list seem so far away, and not to mention expensive.  Alas, it is summer, and everyone needs a vacation!

Check out some of these destinations that are a bit closer to home, and definitely worth a visit!

Idyllwild

We’re willing to bet you’d welcome the idea of  swapping out traffic jams and parking tickets for sweet smelling cedars and tall pine trees.  Idyllwild is nestled in the San Jacinto mountains and provides the perfect getaway for nature loving gals itching to get out of the city.  Nestled in the San Jacinto mountains, the trip will take about 2 hours from LA – it’s worth the trip just for the sunset.

Check out this site to rent your own Idllwild cabin!

Yosemite

The drive to Yosemite might be a bit longer than to Idyllwild (about 5 hours), but the god-like  sequoias,  gushing waterfalls and sweeping views are an experience one shouldn’t be without.  Spend the day hiking and see the biggest granite rock in the world-El Captain, the fifth waterfall in the world-Yosemite Waterfall, and Half Dome at the Tunnel View Point.  Some trails are even pet friendly!

We recommend renting your own cabin here too. Hotels are fun, but if you really want to enjoy being away from it all, a cabin is a must!

The Redwoods is a great place to start your cabin hunt.

You can always stay in a tent too, just remember your bug spray!

Have a nice vacation!
