Last night at LACMA, LA’s most fabulous and fashionable came out to play! Glittery guests dressed to the nines mingled amidst the museums’ open courtyard in honor of the Smithsonian Channel’s new show, LA Frock Stars. The show stars Doris Raymond and her team of vintage virtuosos in her store and vintage fashion Mecca on La Brea, The Way We Wore.

If you’ve ever visited The Way We Wore, then you know how amazing it is. If you haven’t been, then you’re obviously missing out!  The sea of priceless fashion treasures is enough to make you laugh, cry, curse and fall to your knees all in one Yves Saint Laurent for Dior undergarment. It’s no wonder celebrities like Dita Von Tesse and stylists like Mel Ottenberg, Rihanna’s stylist on the hunt for a Grammy’s outfit to Lou Eyrich, the costume designer of Glee, make it a must to visit the store for their every fashion need.

Doris has been involved in the business of vintage for over 30 years. She’s the ultimate huntress, never failing to sniff out a good piece. While the modern world treks to the Grove to shop the latest in disposable fast fashion, only a real fashion guru knows that a good vintage piece will last forever, so instead of buying 10 dresses from Forever 21, why not invest in that one priceless Halston or Lanvin?

L.A. FROCK STARS will offer an inside look at the quest for the perfect dress. The cast is super cute also – although we’ve heard they’re straight out of central casting…we can’t wait to watch the show and gasp at all of the amazing pieces.

Six Episode Series Set To Premiere tomorrow, March 7th, 2013! Be there or be out of style!!
