Can you name one thing that every girl has in common? Beauty, brains, style, oh yes, and HAIR!
Another thing that we females all share is that we want our hair to be long, full and beautiful, at least most of the time (props to short-haired girls too!), and sometimes no matter how many blow-dries we have or products we put in, it’s a task and a half to achieve that perfect length and fullness. Our City of Angels is chock full of salons, spas, dry bars and just about every beauty enhancing retreat around, but our fair city had been missing just one thing – a salon devoted entirely to Just Extensions!
Just Extensions located on 3rd and La Brea is unlike any other full service salon as it is the first Hair Extensions Bar in Los Angeles, and it just opened this month! The TGIFguide team was invited for a sneak peek at the brand new space and an exclusive interview with owner and Just Extensions founder, Riqua Hailes. Being girls on the town, it’s important that we look good!!! Our Advice and Finance contributor Megyn Bell had an exclusive event to attend so we sent her in to get styled by the Just Extensions team.
The first step was a consultation. Megyn met with Riqua and the Just Extensions stylists for a quick chat about the look she wanted for her hair. The stylists then ordered the perfect length and color for her desired look.
They also give you the option to bring in your own hair, which is great if you’re looking to put in a funky color or are in a hurry. A few days after the consultation, Megyn’s hair had arrive and we came in to get her styled.

Megyn’s always had beautiful hair naturally, but she was looking to get just a tad more volume and thickness so she could look HOT at her big event.

Each bead is placed perfectly along the scalp in even sections.
The beads are placed at a low part of the scalp, so they’re hidden beneath the hair on top and your extensions will look all the more natural.
From there, the stylist expertly stitches the hair into place.
Megyn’s stylist was not only super sweet, but she was really quick and we couldn’t even believe how neatly she arranged the beads. Only the hands of a true professional could work so quickly and have the hair turn out so perfectly proportioned. JE experienced extensionists and licensed stylists have been hand picked and are available to you 6 days a week.
The last step is the blending process, where they stylist takes a razor and completes the look. Check out the difference from her BEFORE photos!
By the time she was done, our girl Megyn was looking prettier than ever, and we were all envious of her full and luscious locks! When we went to the event later that night, people were literally saying, “Wow those don’t look like any extensions I have ever seen, they look like your real hair” and “I don’t believe you, let me see!” Check out just how fab she looked in this photo below:
We TOTALLY forgot to mention that we were treated like ROYALTY the entire time we were at Just Extensions and the amazing staff brought us mimosas for a toast while we all admired Meg’s new do.
