At TGIFguide, we’re big advocates of LA fashion and local designers, and therefore unfaltering fans of the LA Fashion Council! It’s no secret that becoming the next household name in fashion takes a ton of work, so it’s awesome to know that an entire organization of spirited industry experts has your back. Want to become the next big LA Fashion Designer? Here’s how!! It’s called Open Runway.
Open Runway is the newest way for brand new, barely emerging designers to showcase their work, often for the first time. Once a month the LAFC will showcase up to five new designers in conjunction with Couture, Los Angeles.
After each show, a look from each collection will land on Facebook to be voted on by the LAFC Facebook audience. A winner from each week will move forward to the Grand Final in September where our jury will pick a winner to be showcased at our Spring 2014 Collections!!

RULES:
1. Designer/Designers must be currently based in Los Angeles.
2. Designer/Designer must not have been in business (if they are in business) longer than one year.
3. Designer/Designers must be prepared to show a minimum of 6 looks and a maximum of 12 looks on selected show date.
4. Designer/Designers are responsible for their own hair/make-up, models and music. A backstage area will be provided, along with sound and light system.
