What girl doesn’t dream of sauntering down the red carpet, cameras flashing, dressed to the nines? Imagining your glorious gown, hair and makeup on point, accessories to die for and some delicious arm candy escorting you to the stage and accept your award. It could happen to you! While it’s great to daydream, we wanted to bring some award winning beauty tips to you so you can get your own red carpet worthy look, right at home!

MARS the Salon has made it possible for you to showcase your own award worthy creations!  In honor of past winners and current nominees Meryl Streep, Brie Larson, and Rooney Mara, salon owner Hiroko Fujikawa has created bold, unique, and sparkly nail art. With designs such as The Meryl Stripe, Maroon Mara, and Metallic De Brie, your nails will definitely shine like a red carpet star!

“Metallic de Brie”

  1. Apply a base coat.
  2. Apply silver glitter polish on all fingers.
  3. Apply Gold hologram polish on all fingers.
  4. Apply a top coat.

“Maroon Mara “

  1. Apply burgundy nail polish to every other nail
  2.  Coat the alternate nails in a glittery silver polish
  3. Paint a thick stripe of the burgundy across the top of each silver-coated nail
  4. Glue silver crystals on top of the silver nail polish
  5.  Finish with a top coat.

“The Meryl Stripe “

  1.   Apply a base coat.
  2. Apply a white nail polish on the thumb, middle, and ring fingers.

Apply a beige nail polish on the index and pinky fingers.

  1. Draw 2 triangles with a beige nail polish on the thumb.
  2.  Draw 3 triangles with a beige nail polish on the ring finger.
  3. Fill the outer side of the 3 triangles with a beige nail polish and draw 2 horizontal lines on middle finger.
  4. Draw horizontal lines on the index and pinky finger with a white nail polish using a thin art brush.
  5. Draw gold lines on the middle and pinky fingers, and outer lines on the triangle part.
  6. Apply a top coat.
