Yesterday at the Salesforce Dreamforce event some interesting folks caught our eye!

The style highlight everyone was talking about was Salesforce founder Marc Benioff’s shoes during his hour long fireside chat with Sir Richard Branson. While Branson, founder of Virgin Group and renowned adventurer and entrepreneur, shared stories of entrepreneurial advice and inspiring lessons, a few onlookers in the audience couldn’t keep from commenting on Benioff’s fashion statement!

While we won’t quote anyone on their shoe comments, we did gather a few good quotes from one of our all-time our favorite entrepreneurs:

“For a company not to embrace a social media…they got their head in the sand. Social media has overthrown governments.”

“The best way of learning about anything is by doing.”

“What is a business — a business is a group of people, first you need to find exceptional persons to run the business.”

“Life is short and you will find you are going to come in contact with the same people again and again. If you treat people well they will come back and if you treat them badly they will not. Then you are not leading a very fulfilling life.”

“Humor is a very important part of building a business. Not taking yourself too seriously and being willing to have a sense of humor is key. For example, our windmill Virgin salt and pepper shakers got stolen so often that we were losing money on that. Instead of pulling them from flights, we wrote on them “pinched from Virgin Atlantic.” They became our best marketing device.”

With that we’ll leave you with our favorite street style shots snaps!

Virgin America

We noticed that colored denim was trending among the guys…

Even skirts…

And this had to be the best outfit we’d seen all day!

After the keynote speeches ended the Salesforce Dreamforce crew floated form one cloud to the next where none other than the Red Hot Chili Peppers performed at the gala! It was truly a beautiful outdoor show set against the backdrop of the Civic Center. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow’s festivities will hold!
