LA Fashion enthusiasts will definitely remember the sweaty yet impressive Concept Fashion Week formerly held at ACE Galleries.  Room after room of designer presentations offered entertainment for LA’s sartorial savants for a few solid seasons.  The shows were always well-produced and curated but one crucial element seemed to be missing each time, and that was air conditioning. The team behind CONCEPT Fashion Week is known to put on a good show however,  and the shows  held last Saturday at Siren Studios were  not only well produced, but a definite welcome change of venue. AND they were air conditioned!

A handful of LA’s uniquely dressed came out to support local designers like Elliott Evan and Mike Vensel.  Guests indulged in each others outfits while drifting from the parking lot to Studio 1 (where presentations were held) and Studio 2 (where runway shows were held) while sipping on Activate Vitamin Water – the whole thing was very LA.

There were amazingly sexy and fresh takes on menswear exhibited by Elliott Evan, Space Age inspiration by Paul Redmond and Camila X Castillo, and well-constructed black, white and red pieces by martinMARTIN.

Over-all, it was a good representation of our city and we’re excited for next season!
